non quilting post. PTSD and anxiety

As someone with complex/multi event PTSD and an anxiety disorder I get my side of it but it's hard to share how to help, especially in the middle of a flashback or attack.
I saw this article has some good points and appropriate caveats, aka touch is good except when it isn't. So here you go.

PS I sewed! I made skirt! Post coming soon!

Hi Cara,

I came across your post on PTSD and wanted to share our site - www.huddl.org. It's a free, anonymous social media site for anyone suffering with PTSD. It seems you already have a good blog and outlet, I just wanted to share in case you would like to provide your thoughts on the site too. Our thinking is once you connect with others and share your ideas/pain/hope then it helps everyone on the site.

As a side note, I've heard a lot of good things about quilting but haven't given it a try myself. My friend Ashley has a blog (http://wasntquiltinaday.wordpress.com/) that I've been checking out. It makes me want to quilt too! Maybe between your blog and hers I will get some motivation :)

Cheers,

Brittney
